Five suspects on the run following house robbery in PE Central

Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of house robbery, following an incident at a block of flats in Western Road, Central.

Spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says 3 suspects approached a 28-year old woman in her flat on Monday morning to enquire about at an adjacent vacant residence.

She says 5 suspects later came back, smashed in the security gate and forced their way into the flat.

Janse Van Rensburg says the suspects tied the woman up and took an undisclosed sum of money and cellphone.

No arrests have yet been made.
