Five perish in Eastern Cape accident

 Five people have been killed and two seriously injured in a serious head on collision.

Transport Department spokesperson, Tsepo Machaya says the accident took place between Joubertina and Krakeel on the R63 between a truck and a car.

He says both vehicles went down an embankment.

Machaya says emergency vehicles are still on the scene.

Motorists have been advised to take care in the area.
