Five people have been killed in a car accident at Nanaga near Colchester.
Eastern Cape provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell says the accident, in which four men and a woman were killed, happened at around 8 o'clock on Sunday night where the N10 joins the N2 at Nanaga.
He says the driver of a Mazda hatchback lost control and the vehicle overturned.Bramwell says all five died at the scene.The names of deceased are not yet known, and police are investigating.
Meanwhile, a 23-year old man was killed after being hit by a car in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth late on Sunday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Constable Mncedi Mbombo says it is alleged that a 36 year old man from Algoa Park was driving a blue BMW, and hit the man in Norhongo street.He says the victim suffered head injuries and died at the scene.Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
