Five killed in Eastern Cape bus accident

Five people were killed, and 23 seriously injured when a bus overturned in Matatiele in the Alfred Nzo district in the Eastern Cape on Friday.

Provincial trafficspokesperson, Tshepo Machaea says three women, a man and a 4-year old girl, died at the scene.

He says the injured, including the driver, were taken to a hospital in Mount Fletcher.

Machaea says the driver apparently lost control of the bus, which was travelling from Matatiele to rural areas.
