Butterworth Police have arrested 5 suspects and seized 80-kilogrammes of dagga with a street value of R81 000.
Captain Jackson Manatha says the police officers were on patrol when they stopped a suspicious looking Avanza on the N2 near the Ibika Township at around 9.30pm.
Thirteen bags of dagga were found in the vehicle.
Manatha says the suspects had obtained the dagga in Libode and were bringing it to Butterworth.
They've been charged with dealing in dagga and will appear in the Butterworth magistrate's court on Wednesday.
