Five arrested for robbing Somalian shops in Mdantsane

5 suspects have been arrested after allegedly robbing two Somalian shops in Mdantsane.

Police Capt. Ernest Sigobe says the suspects, aged between 22 and 27, are all from Kwazhakhele in Port Elizabeth.

He says outstanding cases of murder, housebreaking and armed robbery are being investigated against the five men.

Sigobe says police confiscated 3 fire arms, one of which belonged to a policeman.

The men appeared in court today, and will remain in custody.
