East London police have arrested two suspects in CC Lloyd-informal settlement for dealing in drugs.
Police captain, Stephen Marais says police members of the East London Cluster Task team received information, and searched a house in the area last night.
He says when police neared the house, a 20-year old suspect tried to run away, but was apprehended a short while later.
Marais says a 38-year old man was arrested in the house, and police found a substantial amount of Mandrax tablets, dagga and R7,000 in cash.
The estimated street value of the drugs amounts to more than R6,500.
The suspects will appear in court soon.
