Port Elizabeth police are investigating an armed robbery at the Fish Finder restaurant in Buffelsfontein Road, Mount Pleasant, on Saturday night.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the complainant was standing outside the restaurant at about 21h45 when three men approached her.
They ordered the woman and two other staff members back into the restaurant at gunpoint.
Colonel Naidu says the suspects pushed all the staff members into the kitchen and instructed the supervisor to open the till.
They took money out of the till as well as a cellphone.
Colonel Naidu says the other suspect demanded the safe keys from one of the woman staff members and also slapped her in the face.
A small amount of cash was taken from the safe.
The three men then ran out and fled in a white bakkie that was parked around the corner.
No shots were fired and there were no serious injuries.
