The teenager who allegedly stabbed and killed a 15-year-old pupil from Great Brak River briefly appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
"He was released into the care of his parents and the case was postponed until July 1 this year," Southern Cape police spokesman Captain Bernadine Steyn said.
The suspect, also 15 years old, was arrested last Thursday after he allegedly stabbed Great Brak River Senior Secondary School pupil Joseph Isaacs in the chest on a school bus.
According to witnesses the two teenagers were allegedly arguing over a seat before the incident.
Police said after the boy was stabbed he managed to get off the bus next to the R102 near Sinksabrug where paramedics transported him to the George hospital. He however died on the way there, despite efforts by emergency personnel's efforts to save his life.
