Police in Port Alfred are investigating a case of aggravated robbery after a firearm dealer was robbed on Thursday morning.
Police Spokesperson Captain Mali Govender said a man casually walked into the shop at about 11 am on Thursday morning, pretending to look for an item of clothing.
The man then put the clothing on the counter, left the shop and returned with an accomplice who was armed.
The owner's daughter who was alone in the shop at the time was threatened to hand over the keys to the safe.
Govender said the men then took a camo bag from the store and put several shotguns, rifles, handguns and ammunition in the bag, before locking the daughter in the strong room.
According to police, the one suspect was a well-dressed man his fifties, while the other man, in his twenties, wore a black Jersey and tracksuit pants.
The two assistants from the shop who were not in the store at the time contacted the owner and alerted police.
