A 31-year-old woman is currently in police custody following her arrest at a roadblock on the N2 near the Tsitsikamma Tollgate outside Plettenberg Bay.
A police spokesperson Sergeant Christopher Spies says the woman was arrested on a passenger bus travelling to Cape Town in the early hours of Friday morning.
He says they had a strategic roadblock set up just before the Tollgate where they stopped the bus.
The K9 unit noticed a suspicious suitcase and discovered tik as well as thousands of mandrax tablets with a combined street value of R570 000.
The luggage was positively linked to a passenger who boarded the bus in Port Elizabeth.
Sergeant Spies says on Tuesday this week they also stopped a passenger bus where they found dagga worth R25 000.
Nobody could be linked to the luggage and no arrest was made.
