A 66-year old man has been sentenced to 25 years imprisonment by the Tsomo Regional Court for raping his 10 year old daughter.
The incident took place on Christmas Day 2011.
It later emerged that the father had raped his daughter six times prior to his wife catching him red-handed.
The accused was then charged with seven counts of rape.
The investigating officer, detective constable Simo Potelwa, of the Butterworth police, said the accused could not be named to protect the identity of his daughter.
