A woman whose body was found dumped on a rubbish site in Booysens Park in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) earlier this month has been identified.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a vagrant stumbled on the partially burnt and decomposed body at the dumping site on the 5th of March.
The deceased has since been identified by her father as 29-year-old Shaunine Melissa van Belling.
Colonel Naidu says her family last saw her alive on the 27th of February in Greenshields.
Her father positively identified van Belling on the 18th of March.
No arrests have yet been made but Colonel Naidu says police are following up on several leads.
