Police in Nelson Mandela Bay are investigating a murder, which they believe was a targeted hit on Thursday night.
Spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge says the 37-year-old Unathi Sithole was shot and killed outside a tavern in Daku Street, Kwazakhele.
He says Sithole was outside the tavern making a phonecall when unknown suspects approached him, firing shots.
Captain Beetge says police were notified about the shooting at about 7.30 pm on Thursday.
He says Sithole was shot multiple times in his upper body and head.
Nothing was stolen from him.
This follows just 24-hours after a mother was shot and killed execution-style in Motherwell.
The 38-year-old Bulelwa Mene arrived home from work on Wednesday when she was approached by the men who ordered her 15-year-old daughter out of the car before they shot her in the head and fled in a silver Toyota Tazz.
Beetge says this appears to have been a targetted hit as the daughter was not harmed and nothing was taken from either of the victims.
No arrests have been made.
