An unknown man has died after being bitten by a shark in the surf at Jeffreys Bay.
The man was believed to be snorkeling in the Tecoma Street area when the incident happened.
National Sea Rescue Institute spokesperson, Craig Lambinon, says the man's remains have been recovered...
"The NSRI in Jeffrey's Bay and the police are on the scene where a shark incident occurred what is believed to have been a man who was snorkeling when the incident took place. At this stage remains of a body have been recovered from the water and was handed to police and pathologists" he said
