Fatal accidents in EC

One person has been killed in an accident on the N-2 between Dutywa and Butterworth in the Easern Cape.
 

Provincial traffic authorities report that a station wagon collided with a stray animal and then ploughed into a passing ambulance on Monday.

Both vehicles caught fire.
 

In a separate incident in Dutywa itself, a bakkie collided with a bus, killing a passenger instantly.
Police have opened culpable homicide dockets in both instances.
