A Zimbabwean national has been killed following an accident on Target Kloof Road in Walmer, Gqeberha.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the accident happened just before 10 am on Friday.
She says the 41-year-old victim, driving a Hyundai Getz was turning out of 6th Avenue into River Road towards Albany Road when he collided with a Toyota Etios also travelling in the same direction.
It is alleged that one of the vehicles did not stop at the red light which resulted in the collision.
The man, whose family must still be informed of his death, died on the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
