Fatal Accident on an Alice Road

An Eastern Cape policeman was one of two people who were killed in a head-on collision on the R-63 between Alice and Fort Beaufort on Monday.

Provincial police spokesperson, captain Ernest Sigobe, says the 42 year old policeman was en route to court in his private vehicle when it was involved in an accident.

The 47 year old driver of the other car also died as a result of the crash.

Their names have not yet been released.
