Eight employees of a fast food franchise in Nahoon, East London, will appear in the City's Magistrates Court on Thursday on a charge of fraud.
They are between the ages of 25 and 37.
According to police spokesperson Captain Mluleki Mbi, five of the suspects are women and three are men.
He told AlgoaFM News they were arrested on Wednesday after their employers discovered that they had allegedly been swindling an undisclosed amount of money via EFT payments and till points for the past year.
Captain Mbi said the employers alerted the police who are currently investigating the matter.
