Two Chinese nationals and a farmer from Alexandria appeared in court on Monday.
They were arrested late last week after police found perlemoen worth an estimated R33-million on a farm in the area.
The perlemoen weighed in at 1630 kilograms.
The 66 year old farm owner, Jacobus Marthinus van der Mescht, was released on R20 000, while his two Chinese accomplices remain in custody.
They will appear in court again on the 27th of August
