Kabega Park detectives are investigating a case of house robbery after a family and their tenant were robbed in Kragga Kamma on Monday evening.
Police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says a 49-year-old tenant was outside a small courtyard smoking a cigarette at about 10.30 pm when she was confronted by four suspects who were armed with guns.
She says they threatened the woman and demanded money before they forced her back into the cottage where they locked her in the room.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says they stole several household items before accessing the main house through a sliding door.
She says four family members in the main house were also threatened before several items were stolen.
Janse van Rensburg says they stole a wedding ring from the man's deceased wife, a TV, phones, laptop, tools, a CCTV Monitor and even the urn containing the ashes of the wife.
Nobody was injured in the robbery.
