An Ethiopian shop owner was found murdered inside his shop in George on Tuesday morning.
Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie says the 30-year-old Zinabu Keshamo was found with a wound to the back of his head but a post mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
He says detectives were dispatched to comb the murder scene in Woltemate street in Rosemoor.
Captain Pojie says police were called out to the scene when neighbours and a fellow countryman became suspicious when Keshamo did not open his shop.
He says when concerned family members arrived on the scene they found the shop locked with a padlock from the outside.
They broke open the lock where they discovered Keshamo's lifeless body.
Information suggests that he was last seen alive on Sunday evening.
A case of murder is under investigation and no arrests have been made.
