A Kirkwood farmer who was attacked and wounded on his farm last week is still in hospital.
This is according to Freedom Front Plus Provincial Leader Piet Mey who visited the farmer, Johannes de Lange, on Monday.
He says De Lange is recovering well and hopes to be home with his family soon.
At least five armed men are believed to have stormed into De Lange's farmhouse on Wednesday last week where they attacked him and his family.
Sergeant Majola Nkohli says De Lange was able to get hold of his firearm and shot and killed one attacker and seriously wounded another.
Three of the suspects were arrested soon after the attack and are still in custody.
The men, aged between 25 and 50, are expected to make a second court appearance in Kirkwood on Friday where they are expected to apply for bail.
They face charges of attempted murder and robbery.
