Port Elizabeth police are searching for three suspects following an armed robbery and subsequent murder of an Ethiopian shopkeeper at a supermarket in Walmer Township.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says three suspects, one of who was armed entered the Tawakal Supermarket on Monday morning in Bhabhatane Street demanding cash.
Van Rensburg says apparently the suspects were not happy with the amount of money they were given.
She says the Ethiopian employee was shot in the chest and died on the scene.
The suspects fled on foot and no arrests have been made.
Meanwhile, Addo police are investigating a case of murder following the discovery of the body an unknown female on a farm in Hermitage.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart says her body was found under a lemon tree earlier today with multiple stab wounds to her chest.
Swarts says she has not been identified as yet and no arrests have been made.
Police are requesting anyone with information to contact Addo SAPS.
