The 26-year-old man who escaped from the Mount Road police station in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday is back behind bars.
Police spokesperson, captain Stanley Jarvis, says he was found in the early hours of Friday morning in the vicinity of the Forest Hill cemetery.
The suspect disappeared from the Mount Road police station earlier this week after being taken in for questioning in a vehicle theft case.
Details of the escapee were posted on Algoa FM News Facebook page on Thursday eliciting a wide response.
Jarvis says information from the public assisted with the rearrest.
