Equipment donation for emerging EC farmers


 Eastern Cape communal farmers can expect growth in wool production and income, following the donation of shearing shed equipment to the value of R2-million.

Cape Wools, in cooperation with Wool Trust and the National Wool Growers Association handed over presses, sorting tables, bin sets and scales in Beacon Bay, East London on Monday, which will be delivered to 27 sheds in the Glen Grey, Enqcobo and Cofimvaba districts.

"The immediate benefit is the increasing quality in the processing of the production with better equipment it is easier to process the wool at the shearing sheds, especially when it comes to classing with classing tables, it is easier to weigh and press the bales, so we expect immediate quality benefits" he said.
