Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of house robbery after three suspects broke into a home at a complex called Sanctuary Cove, on Juliette Road in Lorraine.
The robbery happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
One of the suspects who was armed with a knife tied up the elderly home owner before stealing various items from her house.
According to multiple sources the 83-year-old victim was tied up with cable ties but sustained no injuries.
A neighbour from the complex alerted Atlas who responded to the scene.
This was confirmed by their spokesperson Ryan Morris who also stated that the victim was not one of their clients.
He said suspects forced open the window behind the garage, and bent the burglar bars, in order to gain access to the premises.
This cunning tactic was confirmed via a photograph supplied to Algoa FM News.
