Elderly woman killed in hit-and-run incident in Mossel Bay

A 78-year-old woman has been killed in a hit-and-run incident in Mossel Bay.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp says the deceased was hit by a taxi in Extension 8 on Saturday afternoon.

He says according to eyewitnesses, the taxi driver drove away from the accident scene and is still at large.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
