Elderly woman found in freezer: man hands himself over

 An Aliwal North man has handed himself over to the police and allegedly confessed to the murder of a 73 year old woman.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Nozuko Handile, says police followed up the information and found the woman's body in a deep-freezer at her home.

Handile says it is alleged the suspect used to help the woman in her garden and around the house.

The suspect will appear at Aliwal North court on Tuesday on a charge of murder.
