Holidaymakers attacked in George

Western Cape police are appealing for help in tracing three men who attacked a holidaymaker and his son at a dam near George.

Police spokesperson, captain Bernadine Steyn, says three men, armed with knives, accosted a 45-year-old man from Rustenburg and his 16-year-old son.

She says the youth sustained a stab wound near his left eye.

Steyn says the robbers fled with a cellphone, watch, keys and two wallets. They also slashed two tyres on the man's bakkie.

She says anyone with information is requested to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant John Boesak at the George Detective branch on 044 803 4714.
