An elderly woman and a domestic worker were tied up and robbed during a home invasion in Mount Pleasant, Gqeberha, earlier on Monday, in which the house was ransacked.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says two suspects wielding firearms hit the property in Gladys Street, Mount Pleasant, at around 8 am.
The domestic worker had just unlocked the doors to gain entry to the house and was busy attending to the elderly woman she takes care of during the day when the robbers struck.
Captain Janse van Rensburg says they demanded cash and keys to the safe.
They tied up both women and then ransacked the house, making off with a laptop, cell phones, cash and jewellery.
No one was injured during the robbery and anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact their nearest police station.
