An elderly Uitenhage woman accused of shooting dead her 73-year-old husband made a brief appearance in court on Thursday morning.
Seventy-year-old Beatrice Rudman was granted bail of R500.
She was accompanied in court by her children and according to a court orderly left through the back entrance of the building.
Rudman was taken into custody yesterday following the shooting at their Thorne Street home in Penford, Uitenhage.
The motive for the incident is not yet known.
She will appear again in court on the 25th of September
