Uitenhage police have arrested a 70-year-old woman for allegedly shooting dead her 73-year-old husband.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Gerda Swart, says the incident happened in Thorne Street in Penford, earlier on Wednesday.
She says the motive for the shooting is not known.
Swart says the woman will appear in court soon on a charge of murder.
Meanwhile, police in Swartkops, Port Elizabeth, are searching for a woman who's husband's body was found on a dump site at Wells Estate on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer Thembi Gwe, says the body of the 54-year-old man was found at around noon.
She says he had several stab wounds.
Gwe says its alleged that the man's wife was seen driving a rubbish bin to the dump site in the early hours of Sunday morning.
