Elderly Schoenmakerskop attack victim dies of her injuries

An elderly Port Elizabeth woman who was severely assaulted during a home invasion in Schoenmakerskop in September in which her partner was killed, has also died.

The Seventy-eight-year-old Elaine Allwright died in hospital on Thursday.  

Her partner of many years, 76-year-old Ken Alexander died of the severe injuries he sustained when the pair were accosted in their home in the early hours of the morning of the 26th of September.

No arrests have yet been made.

Police are now investigating two cases of murder and house robbery.
