Kabega Park Detectives are on the hunt for four men who broke into a house and robbed and assaulted an elderly couple in their home in Colleen Glen, Port Elizabeth.
Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the couple, who are both in their seventies, were confronted by four suspects wearing balaclavas and armed with a knife and a firearm at about a quarter past seven on Saturday night.
It appears that the men broke the fence surrounding the property and gain entrance at the front door.
The couple was tied up in the bedroom and the robbers than proceeded to ransack the house.
Captain Van Rensburg says they fled on foot with cash, two firearms and cell phones.
The complainant managed to untie himself and found another cellphone and contacted the neighbours.
Both victims received medical treatment on the scene.
