Elderly PE couple assaulted during Summerstrand house robbery

 Port Elizabeth police are searching for three men who attacked and robbed an elderly couple in their house in Summerstrand in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Warrant Officer Alwin Labans says the 70 year-old man and his wife, who is in her 60s, were injured in the attack and taken to hospital.

Their 36-year-old son slept through the entire incident.

The suspects fled in a Renault Scenic with four firearms, a laptop computer, television set and foreign currency.
