Police in Motherwell, Port Elizabeth are investigating a case of arson following an attack on the RDP home of an elderly man in Kamvelihle on Tuesday night.
Police Constable Mncedi Mbombo, says a group of community members petrol-bombed the house which burnt down.
He says the 70-year old home owner was meeting family members at the time of the attack to make funeral arrangements for his 24-year old son who was killed over the weekend.
Mbombo says Thembile Ncamiso was burnt to death in a grisly mob attack on Sunday.
He says the motives for the murder and the arson attack are unknown.
