Storms River police are investigating a case of murder after a 70-year old man was stabbed to death at his home on a small holding over the weekend.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Basil Seekoei, says the elderly man, Corrie Classe was with his wife in a room when the couple heard a noise in the house.
Seekoei says his wife went to investigate and sought help from neighbours.
He says upon returning to the premises, the woman found her husband with stab wounds to the chest.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information are asked to contact the Storms River SAPS.
