One person has died and two have been injured in an accident in Caledon Street in Uitenhage on Monday morning.
Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Gerda Swart says it is alleged that a minibus taxi hit an Opel Astra then drove into a wall.
The car burst into flames and community members came to the aid of the driver and his passenger.
They were both taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The 80 year old passenger in the Astra was flung out of the vehicle and died on the scene. The Driver was taken to hospital.
