The Eastern Cape Education District Executive Committee will be visiting Port Elizabeth on Monday, to help fast-track and resolve issues which have led to the disruptions of schools in the northern areas.
The Department of Education said the Committee will also reinforce the work of it's task team.
Department spokesperson Mali Mtima said in a statement that they will make officials available to ensure that issues like the recruitment and placement of teachers takes place instantaneously, and that approvals are made on the spot.
Matters which will be attended to include the provision of teachers, school's budgets, the teacher-learner ratios and training of school governing body members.
The high-powered committee has earmarked three days for it's drive in Port Elizabeth.
