Police in Kabega Park in Nelson Mandela Bay are investigating a case of armed robbery after the owners of the Seaview Predator Park were assaulted and robbed on Tuesday.
A spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the 79-year-old complainant and his wife were in their vehicle, on their way out of the park when two suspects emerged from the bushes.
She says both suspects were armed with a knife and firearm and forced the complainant to stop.
Janse van Rensburg says the elderly couple was assaulted before their cash and phones were stolen.
The robbers also damaged the keys of their car before fleeing on foot.
The incident happened 300 meters from the main entrance gate.
