The Department of Labour in the Eastern Cape says two workers were electrocuted in Wilsonia in East London while moving scaffolding at Inca Masonry Products.
The Department's Livingstone Matiwane, says two others were injured and admitted to hospital.
He says the incident happened yesterday when the workers had finished painting a silo tank.
Matiwane says they were moving the scaffolding to another position when it touched overhead powerlines.
He says the Labour Department will also investigate the company's level of compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
