A top PE advertising agency says its making in-roads in the national market.
Boomtown Strategic Brand Agency recently welcomed Wayne Harrison as its new managing diretcor.
Boomtown founder and new chairperson, Neil Hart, says they've "grown significantly over the past few years with great growth from our offices in Joburg and Port Elizabeth."
He says the change at the top will allow for a new focus and strategic input from a fresh perspective.
Hart says Harrison has a "long list of credentials having worked in the South African advertising industry since 1989 gaining experience in specialised companies as well as large global networks, is set to combine his experience with the agency's very contemporary approach to business to create a powerful business."
"Harrison began professional life on the creative side at Ogilvy and has worked on brands such as Volswagen South Africa, Old Mutual, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, South African Breweries and Pam Golding Property Group to name a few. In recent years he crossed over into business leadership and strategy," he said.
"Over the last two years Boomtown Strategic Brand Agency has increased its national footprint with both the Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth offices thriving on new client wins. Boomtown also won three gold awards and the overall Inkosi award, the top award of the night, at the Assegai Integrated Marketing Awards for effective direct marketing campaigns in November," said Hart.
"I'm excited to join a growing agency that has already achieved so much on a national scale, I believe there are so many more business-building ideas to come out of Boomtown," Harrison said.
