An East London taxi driver will appear in court on Tuesday on a charge of reckless and negligent driving.
Police spokesperson, lieutenant Nkosikho Mzuku, says the 26-year-old driver was arrested in Reeston on Monday morning following an accident in which two learners from John Bisseker High School were injured.
He says a tyre on the vehicle burst causing the driver to lose control but the taxi did not overturn.
Mzuku says the taxi driver faces additional charges of driving without a Professional Drivers Licence and driving without supervision having only a learner's license.
