Three security guards have been rushed to hospital, after being attacked by street vendors in Vincent, East London.
Swot Security owner Terry Moss says three of his guards were asked by business tenants in the area around Fruit and Veg to assist with the removal of eight men who were selling fish on the sidewalk.
Moss says when the men were asked to leave, they pulled out pangas and attacked the guards before speeding off in a white Toyota Hilux bakkie with the Cape Town registration number CA 57927.
Moss praised the police and Alderson's Ambulance service who were on the scene within minutes.
Captain Mluleki Mbi said police were investigating the matter.
