East London police have arrested two suspects in connection with rape of two Swedish holidaymakers on Eastern Beach.
Police spokesperson, captain Ernest Sigobe, says the suspects, aged 20 and 30, were arrested on Thursday by members of the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit.
Both men are from East London and will appear in court soon on charges of rape and common robbery.
Provincial police commissioner, lieutenant-general Celiwe Binta, congratulated the police unit for the breakthrough.
