The bail hearing of two East London men charged with raping two Swedish tourists, continues in the city's magistrate's court on Tuesday.
The men, Simpiwe Wayize and Asenathi Bonani, were arrested just days after the two women were attacked near Bats Cave on Eastern Beach earlier this month.
Monday's court proceedings were marked by an altercation between Wayize and state prosecutor Tutsirai Matshonga, which led to Wayize storming out of the dock to the holding cells below the court.
He was later ordered to apologise.
In his testimony Wayize claimed that he had been assaulted by police into making a confession about the rape.
The two victims have since returned to Sweden.
