EL police warn public on risks of online purchases

Cambridge Police in East London are warning members of the public about the risks of on-line purchases.
This follows a number of cases reported to the police where it is alleged that people deposited large sums of money to buy items advertised online - only to be duped out of both their cash and the purchase item.
Police captain Mluleki Mbi says with the festive season fast approaching, a lot of illegal and fraudulent shopping websites have mushroomed on the internet, and online shoppers need to be extra vigilant.
