EL paddler has close encounter with a shark

Buffalo City Municipality has closed Nahoon Beach following a shark incident on Thursday morning.

According to a post on the Metro's Facebook page, this happened at around 7 am.

The Municipality said "the shark attacked" the paddler damaging his surf-ski.

He was not injured.

City officials said they would continue to monitor Nahoon Beach which has been closed until further notice.
