East London police have opened an inquest docket after a six year old boy was electrocuted on an illegal electrical connection.
Police spokesperson captain Mluleki Mbi says Elethu Sakatha died on Tuesday in an informal settlement in Cambridge.
Mbi says just two months ago another young boy was also killed by an illegal electricity connection.
"We also urged members of the public to avoid illegal connections, because this is not the first time that a child has died in this area from touching an illegal connection. A boy of the same age was electrocuted just a few months ago" he said.
